Permanent post to commence as soon as possible.
Are you someone who can sing slightly off‑key with confidence, laugh at jokes that make no sense, count a fast-moving group of small humans in seconds, and remember every child’s favourite dinosaur (including their third favourite)?
If so, you may be exactly who we’re looking for.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Nursery Leader to join our warm and supportive EYFS team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring practitioner who is committed to providing high‑quality early years education, nurturing strong relationships with children and families, and leading practice that enables every child to thrive.
Job share will be considered.
In this role, you will be well supported, with administrative and finance support to help you focus on teaching, learning and the day‑to‑day running of the nursery. You will also have access to a dedicated SENDCo, working alongside you to ensure inclusive and responsive support for children with additional needs. As part of a wider network of EYFS practitioners, you will benefit from collaboration, shared expertise and ongoing professional development across our schools.
If you are a dedicated early years professional with a positive mindset, strong leadership skills, and a desire to make a meaningful impact within a caring school community, we would love to hear from you. This is an exciting time for our school as we establish a new all‑year‑round nursery provision, offering the successful candidate a rare opportunity to shape a setting with real and lasting impact for children, families and the wider community.
About the role:
1. Lead the nursery provision with creativity, warmth and professional expertise
2. Plan, prepare and evaluate high-quality learning aligned with the EYFS
3. Create a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment where every child thrives
4. Assess children’s progress and support learning in the moment
5. Work closely with parents, carers and the EYFS team to build strong relationships
6. Contribute to designing and embedding routines, systems and structures for our year‑round offer
7. Promote curiosity, joy and high expectations in every part of nursery life
What we’re looking for:
Someone who:
8. Puts children at the heart of every decision
9. Has robust EYFS knowledge, including the latest Early Years Framework and the confidence to lead a team
10. Can think on their feet, stay solution‑focused and show initiative
11. Brings positivity, creativity and professional commitment
12. Is excited to shape and embed our all‑year‑round nursery
13. Doesn’t mind occasionally becoming a princess, pirate or dragon (a convincing dragon roar is optional but appreciated)
Why join us?
You’ll become part of a caring, collaborative and forward‑thinking school community, with the chance to make a meaningful difference and help shape a high-quality provision that supports families throughout the year.
If you are ready to lead with passion, inspire young learners and help build something special, we would love to hear from you.
For this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or a similar / higher / equivalent qualification.
What we can offer you:
14. Salary Sacrifice offers, including Bike2Work, Tech Scheme and Gym Membership
15. Substantial workplace pension
16. Term time ‘Give Back Day’ to take for personal reasons
17. Staff Wellbeing support
18. CPD opportunities for all staff
