An exciting entry-level opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join the Singapore Airlines Cargo team at Christchurch International Airport.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
* Supervising acceptance of cargo in operational areas
* Customer servicing at operational areas, including but not limited to: reservations, flight planning, dealing with export and import enquiries, and Dangerous Goods acceptance.
* General office administration, including invoice verification and specific areas of responsibility assigned on a rotational basis.
* Ensuring that operational and safety procedures are followed and station targets are met
To be successful in this role you will require:
* NCEA Year 13 (level 1, 2 or 3), tertiary education preferred but not required
* Reliability, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, adaptability, good organization, communication skills, and initiative as part of a small team
* Strong time management skills and confidence working in a busy environment
* Previous experience and understanding of cargo airline reservations, ground handling agency, or airfreight forwarding is preferred but not essential
* An interest in aviation and knowledge of Singapore Airlines cargo product and network would be an advantage
* Punctuality and ability to work shifts
This position is based in the Singapore Airlines Christchurch Cargo office and offers a package including free and discounted travel and subsidized medical benefits.
