We are a bar with great food and year round trade right in the heart of St Ives, Cornwall! We have a woodfired kitchen, cook meat & fish on a barbeque and pizzas in a Gozney Napoli oven. We do fresh food, source quality ingredients and are proud of our ratings on both OpenTable and Google.
We continuously strive to elevate our menu created around quality local produce & cooking on fire! We are looking for a culinary chef who can immerse themselves into the barbeque side of our menu.
Our kitchen is supported by a strong front of house team who frequently rates in the top restaurants in our area because of their exceptional service. We strive to exceed our customers' expectations with a quality, but affordable offering in a relaxed and fun way.
It is critical is that you have a strong understanding of health, safety and hygiene, a passion for food and being creative.
Five day working week! Extended paid holiday, out of season. But we are also one of the towns most popular destinations during winter and it is a year round position.
Your salary & tips will be paid fortnightly.
Responsibilities:
Menu development
Team management
Labour and food cost management
Sourcing ingredients and stock control
Create and execute recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health, safety & hygiene standards
Prepare all food items in a timely manner
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
