Scope of Work
Kent is looking for a Senior Process Safety Engineer - outside IR35 - to support projects on an ad-hoc basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Execute Safety Engineering activities and deliverables, as required, in support of work scopes on projects and studies.
* Conduct safety scopes (experience in consequence analysis using DNV Phast, QRA, Formal Safety Assessments, Safety Case/COMAH, etc is essential) for major hazard industries.
* Technical report authorship.
* Ensure the agreed scope of work or studies are completed within the allocated timeframe.
* Preparing technical reports to a high standard.
Key Requirements
* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering (or related) subject.
* Chartered with a relevant institution.
* Experience working in Process/Technical Safety, preferably in the Energy industry.
* Strong understanding of the fundamentals of QRA and other safety techniques, including consequence analysis (preferably PHAST software), with proven experience in conducting such studies.
* Familiar with relevant legislation and industry standards and able to apply this knowledge and advise clients in relation to these, such as COMAH and Safety Case Regulations etc.
