GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools in Retford. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff to support teaching and learning while gaining invaluable classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain on task in a calm and focused learning environment.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, delivering set work.
* Maintain classroom behaviour in line with the school s policy.
* Ensure students complete the assigned work to the best of their ability.
* Provide support and encouragement to students throughout the lesson.
* Report back to teaching staff on student behaviour and lesson outcomes.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
* Experience working in an educational setting or with young people is desirable.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Adaptability and confidence to lead lessons across various subjects.
* A genuine interest in education and supporting student progress.
* A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
* A full, up-to-date CV with a clear employment history and explanations for any gaps within the last 10 years.
