Use your expertise to investigate incidents, provide comprehensive reports and analysis, and deliver key learnings to help us ensure safer care within our nursing homes. This role supports our Lead Inspector and involves direct engagement with residents, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and conduct incident investigations as directed by the Director of Risk and Governance, including leading multidisciplinary teams involving subject matter experts, residents, families, and staff.
2. Engage compassionately and effectively with patients, families, staff, and others affected by safety incidents during investigations.
3. Conduct initial de-briefs with stakeholders and oversee the investigation process following safety incident response frameworks.
4. Produce clear, well-written, accessible investigation reports suitable for review by diverse audiences, including patients and families.
5. Develop SMART action plans to address system and process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
* Professional qualifications in Health and Social Care, e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ Level 4/5.
* Experience in Resident Safety investigations is desirable.
* Good understanding of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.
* Analytical skills with the ability to present data effectively to support decision-making.
* Ability to lead change through planning, stakeholder management, and effective communication.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
