You must have a PIL and previous experience as a Licensed Animal Technician.The role:Daily checking of cages and animals for signs of husbandry and welfare requirementsTo maintain colonies of patient derived tumour lines in-vivoTo maintain colonies of breeding and experimental Transgenic mouse modelsTo run experimental studies at all stages i.e., randomisation, enrolment, dosing, measurements, and samplingTo carry out procedures under the authority of the relevant Home Office personal and project licencesTo ensure routine husbandry procedures are followed within the BSUTo ensure adequate provision of food and water as described in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)To maintain all working areas to the acceptable standardWhat we’re looking for:Home Office Modules A - CAbility to conduct IV, IP, PO, IV drug applicationExperience in tumour measurements and basic tumour imaging techniquesAbility to conduct basic surgery in particular castration and implantation of tumour tissue would be advantageous This is the perfect opportunity for a Licensed Animal Technician looking for the next step in their career, apply today!
