Technical Assistant
Location: B73 6EB, willing to work at all Birmingham leisure centres.
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend call‑outs.
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum plus benefits.
Job Description: Provide on‑planned, ad‑hoc maintenance, service and repair for building services and ancillary plant, including cooling, domestic water, electrical, heating, mains, sanitary, ventilation and water movement systems. Must be on‑call on weekends with paid time off. Multi‑site role with a clean driving licence and a works van supplied.
Responsibilities
* Consistently deliver professional maintenance, service and repair.
* Respond to reactive works for pool plant, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems.
* Supervise external sub‑contractors while performing hands‑on work.
* Maintain accurate written and electronic records.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally including pool plant.
* Multi‑skilled with basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical skills.
* Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance and health & safety legislation.
* Ability to work outside normal hours, covering emergencies 5 days out of 7.
