Our client is seeking a Commercial Removals Salesperson. To be based within their high-performing branch in Glasgow, this role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new removals business, and overseeing commercial client relationships. This position is well-suited to an experienced sales professional with strong industry knowledge and a strategic approach to commercial development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial sales function for the branch, delivering revenue, margin, and profitability targets for domestic and international removals.
* Develop and implement branch‑aligned sales strategies to expand market share and strengthen the company’s position within the UK removals industry.
* Generate new removals business through targeted outreach, tender participation, account development, and structured sales campaigns.
* Oversee incoming commercial removals enquiries, ensuring timely responses and high-quality customer engagement.
* Conduct on‑site and virtual surveys for commercial, office, and project‑based moves, ensuring accurate scoping and costing.
* Manage and grow key client accounts, fostering long‑term relationships and securing repeat removals business.
* Work closely with Operations to ensure seamless service delivery and uphold high service standards for commercial removals.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the branch’s sales team where applicable, supporting improved conversion and consistency.
* Produce accurate commercial removal quotations and tenders using industry systems.
* Drive targeted marketing and business development initiatives to identify new commercial opportunities and sectors.
* Deliver expert advice on removals & relocations compliance requirements and service solutions.
* Contribute to wider regional and national sales strategy, supporting continuous improvement and business growth.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in B2B commercial sales within the removals, relocation, or logistics sector.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing corporate accounts, tenders, and structured sales pipelines.
* Demonstrable negotiation, influencing, and relationship‑building skills at all levels.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Strong IT proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and industry systems such as Moveware.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Commitment to ongoing training, professional development, and maintaining industry knowledge.
