You would be joining Brownhill at a very exciting time in its journey. The school currently includes the Pupil Referral Service and the Special School. There is a defederation process underway, and the two parts of the school will be splitting to form two separate schools during the next academic year. This process will provide a new direction for the school and new systems, processes, and opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Maths who has a commitment to the achievement and equal opportunities for all learners. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to help shape the Maths department and make a wider contribution to teaching and learning following a defederation process.
This role will be working in the PRS.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and teaching of Maths provision across the school. This involves close working with the Senior Leadership Team on the development of the department, the overall curriculum, and outcomes for pupils.
We welcome applications from experienced staff with a commitment to changing the life chances of our pupils. Experience of working with pupils of all ages from primary to secondary will be an advantage but is not essential. Experience of Team Teach and SEMH/PRU is preferred but again it is not essential.
The post holders will be required to work across all 3 of the PRS sites as needed. This will be on only one specific site on any given day.
