Job summary The post holder is required to work as a part of the theatre team and undertake a range of duties to assist in the smooth running of the perioperative environment and to support service delivery. The post holder will contribute to the efficient running of the department and maintain the provision of a consistently high standard of patient care in line with the Stockport Accreditation and Recognition Scheme (StARS) and the Trust's values. Main duties of the job To undertake delegated clinical and non-clinical duties independently and under supervision as required or delegated by registered staff Preparation of theatres for activity - setting up the necessary equipment before theatre lists Participate in patient positioning, ensuring the equipment/ table attachments for various surgical positions is available and present when needed Work within the Perioperative environment, providing high-quality, caring, compassionate, and personal care to patients across a variety of surgical specialities Work under the direction of Registered Healthcare Professionals and senior colleagues, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Act always in a manner, which illustrates respect for privacy, dignity, equality, diversity, and confidentiality Always exhibit a professional attitude Ensure that theatre floors are mopped, and the theatre table and all other relevant equipment are cleaned between cases, ensuring that theatre cleanliness is always maintained.
