We are looking for a confident communicator who has a high commitment to customer care to join our team for a period of 24 months. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will strengthen housing partnerships between the planning and housing service and duty-to-refer organisations, and registered housing providers. This role is best suited for a strong communicator with great partnership skills who can help both our homelessness team and our housing strategy team to work effectively with partner organisations including registered housing providers and other housing related stakeholders. You will work within the governance framework of the County Durham Strategic Housing Board making sure we are delivering the actions of our strategies with specific regard to the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy. Specifically on Duty-to-Refer (DTR), there is a need to communicate the role of our homelessness team with public bodies who have a responsibility under the DTR to notify local authorities when they think someone may be homeless or at risk of homelessness. WHAT WILL I NEED? You will need:- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent Experience of public speaking and presenting to different organisations Experience of working with partners Experience of managing people and projects An understanding of local, regional and national policy relating to homelessness and housing Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria. INTERVIEWS Interviews will be held on 5 or 6 November 2025.
