As a Master Technician reporting to the Aftersales Manager, your main responsibilities will include the ongoing service, repair, diagnosis, and inspection checks of vehicles. If you hold an MOT licence, you may be required to carry out MOT tests.
Working closely with the Workshop Controller, you will manage your allocated jobs and provide feedback to the Service Advisor team regarding any additional work or escalations that need to be communicated to the customer.
As part of our customer service, we offer a ‘see it now’ service where we record on camera any work required on customers' vehicles, as well as vehicle health checks.
* Provide advice, support, and guidance to the Technician team
* Diagnose complex vehicle issues and recommend repairs
* Communicate additional work details to customers and/or Service Advisors
* Provide regular updates on work progress
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times
* Ensure all work is performed observing safe working practices for self and others
* Check the quality and level of work through diagnostic equipment and road testing after repairs
* Complete relevant documentation (Job sheets, PDI's, service reports) according to HSO, warranty, and dealership standards
* Accurately complete job cards and DISS reports, including fault descriptions and repairs carried out
* Collaborate with Warranty support for accurate job write-ups and warranty claims
* Level 3 qualification in vehicle service and repair
* Previous experience as a Senior or Diagnostic Technician in a franchised dealership
* Ability to coach and collaborate with the team
* Team player attitude
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
* Valid driving licence required
