Contract Type: Full-time, fixed-term (with potential for permanent placement upon qualification)

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 (training bursary / unqualified teacher scale, depending on route)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Trainee Teacher of History to join our dedicated Humanities team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain hands-on classroom experience while working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

About the Role
As a Trainee Teacher of History, you will:
* Deliver engaging lessons that bring the past to life and spark curiosity about the world’s cultures, societies, and key historical events.
* Work closely with experienced mentors and subject specialists who will support you every step of the way.
* Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities, and trips that enhance historical learning beyond the classroom.
* Receive ongoing training, coaching, and opportunities for professional development through our established Initial Teacher Training (ITT) partnership.
You’ll gradually take on more classroom responsibility as your confidence grows, supported by a network of skilled teachers who are invested in your success.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds (or will soon hold) a degree in History or a closely related subject.
* Has a genuine interest in education and a commitment to inspiring young people.
* Demonstrates strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
* Is reflective, proactive, and eager to learn the craft of great teaching.
