Description About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Facilities Officer – Grounds to join our team on a casual basis (2 days per week, preferably Monday & Tuesday), with additional shifts available as needed. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our outdoor spaces—keeping them safe, vibrant, and inviting for everyone who calls BallyCara home. What You’ll Be Doing Maintaining gardens and green spaces (mowing, pruning, planting, weeding) Operating equipment such as mowers, blowers, and edgers Keeping outdoor areas clean, safe, and well-presented Supporting events and general site upkeep Responding to requests from residents and staff with a friendly, helpful approach Working safely and contributing to a positive team environment Skills And Experiences What You’ll Bring Monday and Tuesday availability Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or general facilities work A genuine passion for outdoor work and creating great environments Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable nature Knowledge of safe work practices, including chemicals and equipment Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks Physical capability to handle hands-on work outdoors Bonus points for: Horticulture or trade qualifications Experience in aged care, retirement living, or similar environments Chemical handling licence (ACDC) Why BallyCara?
