About the role:
As part of the integration following the acquisition of Britvic by the Carlsberg Group, a newly created EHS structure has been implemented which supports the strategic alignment across all functions within Carlsberg Britvic UK.
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of Carlsberg’s EHS standards across UK production sites, ensuring alignment with global strategies and consistency in execution
* Act as a strategic partner to site leadership, driving legal compliance, continuous improvement, and a proactive safety culture
* Develop and deliver site-specific EHS strategies, managing audits, assessments, and adherence to ISO standards
* Oversee EHS budgets and resource planning, ensuring effective allocation across production functions
* Drive operational excellence through integrated EHS systems, certifications, and thorough incident investigations
* Promote a strong safety culture through training, leadership programmes, and collaboration across UK and Group EHS teams
* Monitor and report EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
* Provide expert support on OPEX and CAPEX projects, including contractor management and crisis response
* Maintain regular field presence for inspections, coaching, and emergency preparedness across production sites
* Represent UK production in EHS forums, supporting strategic alignment and sharing best practices across locations
Experience and Key Attributes:
* Formal qualification or equivalent experience in Safety & Health Management, with professional industry membership
* 4–7 years in a senior EHS role, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing, with strong leadership in matrix organisations
* Deep understanding of UK EHS legislation, ISO standards, and current safety trends
* Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business
* Strong track record of driving improvement initiatives and delivering safety projects to completion
* Experience in safety coaching and behavioural safety programmes
* Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complexity and lead through others
* Resilient, calm under pressure, and committed to continuous improvement and high integrity
