Your newpanyYou’ll be joining a dedicated Housing Association providing safe, stable amodation and personalised support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
The service operates across a single scheme made up of HMO units and self‑contained flats, offering both on‑site and off‑site support.
You’ll be part of a tight, resilient team of five (usually six) who work collaboratively to manage risk, respond to crisis situations and help residents move towards independence.
Your new roleAs a Homeless Support Officer, you’ll deliver day‑to‑day housing support, crisis management and safeguarding‑led interventions for residents with a range ofplex needs. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Lone working across the scheme and themunity
2. Managing crisis situations and escalating risks appropriately
3. Supporting residents with tenancy sustainment, budgeting, wellbeing and life skills
4. Working with partner agencies to secure positive oues
5. Maintaining professional boundaries and promoting independence
Rota pattern (6‑week rolling):
6. Weeks 1–5:8am–4pm2pm–10pm
7. Week 6 (1 in 6 weekends):Mon–Fri: 10am–5:30pm (Thursday = rest day)Sat & Sun: 9am–7pm
What you’ll need to succeed
8. Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally within homelessness, supported housing ormunity‑based services
9. Confidence with lone working, crisis response and risk management
10. Strongmunication skills and the ability to build trust with residents
11. A resilient, calm and solution‑focused approach
12. Ability to work as part of a rota‑based team
