Senior Civil Engineer/Civil Engineer, London
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer or experienced Civil Engineer to join our highly regarded, progressive, and award-winning Civil & Structural team in London.
We are looking for a talented engineer with significant experience, excellent software skills, and a desire to work in a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team focused on sustainability, technical excellence, and shaping construction in the UK and beyond.
The projects include education, strategic land, urban regeneration, and the tech industry, offering diverse career opportunities at Hydrock.
Your role will include:
* Collaborating within a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy.
* Operating across various projects.
* Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Undertaking scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and project coordination.
* Contributing or leading in work-winning, budget management, and fee proposals.
* Mentoring and supporting team members to ensure quality and accuracy.
* Participating in design and site meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting.
* Maintaining good communication with clients, architects, contractors, and authorities.
You will be set up for success if you have:
* A relevant qualification in civil engineering (BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HNC) with substantial experience in a design office.
* Knowledge of Section 104, 278, and 38 adoption procedures.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS, Civils3D, MicroDrainage, and other industry-standard software.
* Experience working with residential developers.
* Understanding of UK planning procedures and ability to support planning approvals.
* Ability to secure technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A self-motivated team player with good interpersonal skills.
