Randstad Education is searching for patient, energetic, and nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to join our supply team in Leeds. The Role
As a supply EYFS TA, you will be supporting Leeds schools with their youngest pupils, ensuring a safe, creative, and stimulating environment where children learn through play.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interactive Learning: Lead and support play-based learning activities mapped to the EYFS framework.
* Phonics & Early Literacy: Assist with early phonics (such as Read Write Inc.) and basic numeracy groups.
* Child Welfare: Help manage classroom routines, outdoor play safety, and personal care where required.
* Observations: Assist the class teacher in tracking development milestones and keeping accurate observations.
Requirements
* Essential: Applicants must have previous UK experience working in an EYFS or primary school setting.
* A deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
* An energetic, warm, and highly resilient personality capable of keeping up with active little learners.
* An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
