Position Description:
To provide support for the running of the POP/DEN production facility. A member of the team responsible for the manufacture of products in a manner that allows business objectives to be met. This involves working without supervision and being responsible for plant operation and all associated documentation. Be responsible for the operation, sharing knowledge, coaching other team members.
Functions, Duties, Tasks
EH&S:
* Ensure activities of self and other team members are such as to meet all health, safety and environmental requirements. Incidents must be reported, and where appropriate, investigated and acted upon immediately.
* Complete all housekeeping activities necessary to ensure a safe, clean working environment compliant with site health and safety, environmental and occupational hygiene requirements.
* Write and execute Permits to Work to ensure that both colleagues and contractors comply with requirements of the permits whilst carrying out identified activities.
* Attend EH & S and other safety related meetings. Carry out environmental monitoring and recording as required.
Process/Equipment Operation:
* Perform day-to-day operation of manufacturing plant through computer controlled and manual operations meeting cGMP requirements and optimising schedule performance
* Identify any potential deviations and determine/take appropriate actions.
* Focus on the economy of operations, their efficiency and effectiveness such that yield, utilisation, losses, and expenses achieve or improve on targets.
Maintenance:
* Perform day-to-day repairs and fault finding. Carry out PM tasks, breakdown repairs and condition monitoring as required. This includes identifying deviations and determining/taking the appropriate corrective actions. Assist in identifying optimal time scales for PMs, executing PM procedures, and completing required documentation.
* Utilise historical data on equipment from archives to optimise performance and maintenance.
Analytical:
* Sample and/or test raw materials, intermediates, and products within cGMP requirements as needed.
* Sample and/or test and arrange for the safe disposal of waste streams.
Documentation:
* Develop and maintain documentation for cGMP, SOPs, risk assessments, continuous improvement activities, and other projects.
* Complete work tickets, control, trend charts, housekeeping records, and environmental documents accurately and promptly report incidents and deviations.
Raw Materials Receipt, Warehousing, Final Product Despatch:
* Assist with accepting and sampling deliveries, raw materials, and packaging. Liaise with Quality for approval and use of materials. Use forklifts and warehouse systems safely to record all movements.
Performance Management and Continuous Learning:
* Participate in performance management, training, and personal development initiatives. Seek self-development opportunities to grow professionally and contribute to company success.
Process Improvement and Problem Solving:
* Work with team members to improve operations and practices. Use root cause analysis to resolve issues. Lead problem-solving and improvement activities related to equipment and processes.
Minimum Qualification:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical discipline.
Additional Preferences:
* FLT license.
