Job Summary To prepare and test production product samples from all phases of manufacturing or other handling process to ensure an independent verification of specified inspections and/or tests that are in addition to on-line testing performed by production staff during the production process meet the required specification and are of acceptable quality. Duties & Responsibilities Ensure inspection and sampling activities are planned adequately to minimise delays for production or final release. Prepare samples and conduct testing from all phases of the manufacturing process in accordance with specified procedures or sampling plans. Approve production product by confirming acceptance to specification. Reject and disposition of production product not meeting specification. Document inspection and test results in accordance with specified requirements. Assist in resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner and support implementation of corrective and preventative actions. Ensure test methods comply with applicable consensus standards and that test methods are validated. Maintain a quality / quality control cleanroom presence. Maintain procurement, storage and handling of medicinal substances in accordance with GMP requirements. Liaise between testing laboratory and production for validation setup and qualification, including arranging the preparation of test samples. Provide QC input for Research & Development testing, data analysis and interpretation. Conduct routine Environmental Monitoring activities and ad hoc testing advised by the Microbiologist. Support QC Inspector Role with inspection, disposition and documentation of incoming raw materials in accordance with documented procedures, specification and sampling plans. Essential requirements Level 6 degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline or relevant experience. 3 years’ work experience in a quality or manufacturing environment or test laboratory Working knowledge of inspection or laboratory techniques or product testing. Organisational skills and an ability to work to tight timelines. Exceptional team skills. Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills when liaising within the company and with external contacts.
