Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative Cardiology team as a Cardiac Implantable Device Service Co-ordinator (Band 4). This key role supports a highly specialised and expanding service at the forefront of remote cardiac device monitoring and digital healthcare. You will be central to the smooth running of the Cardiac Implantable Device Service, combining high-quality administration with meaningful patient contact. Working closely with cardiac physiologists, nurses and clinicians, you will help deliver safe, efficient and patient-centred care while supporting the continued development of modern monitoring pathways. The role also offers valuable leadership and supervisory experience, with responsibility for the day-to-day support, training and supervision of administrative colleagues. You will help coordinate workloads, maintain service standards and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture. Main duties of the job As Cardiac Implantable Device Service Co-ordinator, you will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to ensure the effective day-to-day delivery of the Cardiac Implantable Device Service. Your duties will include managing clinic bookings, waiting lists, referrals and outcomes, monitoring service performance and escalating issues to support timely patient care. You will play a key role in supporting the remote monitoring service, including enrolling and consenting patients, providing education and reassurance, troubleshooting connectivity issues and working closely with cardiac physiologists to reduce DNAs and backlogs. You will act as a professional and empathetic point of contact for patients, carers and staff, often handling sensitive or complex enquiries. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and databases, producing reports, supporting audits and quality improvement activity, and coordinating meetings and training. You will supervise and support administrative colleagues and contribute to new systems and service developments. The ideal candidate will be well organised, IT confident, able to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate excellent communication, initiative and a strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
