Contracts Officer
Hours: Full time (37hrs per week, all year round)
Duration: Temporary until June 2026 (Funded contract)
Salary: £28,956 per annum + benefits
Location: Dearne Valley College, Rotherham
About the Role
This role of Contract Officer supports the Bids and Contracts Manager in the management of all contracts and sub-contracts (internal and external). A key element of the role involves issuing and collating apprenticeship paperwork to ensure the Group's compliance with funding rules.
Key duties include:
1. Compliance checking paperwork and generating contractual documents in accordance with government funding rules.
2. liaising with employers and learners to ensure contractual paperwork is in place promptly, including phone calls and visits to employer sites.
3. Providing timely and accurate reporting on all contracts and sub-contracts, and monitoring learner progress through the college’s Management Information System.
4. Managing a portfolio of subcontractors delivering devolved and non-devolved funding.
5. Collaborating with other departments to address issues, risks, or actions in a timely manner.
The role requires significant data management and tracking of learners and employers. Attention to detail, the ability to manipulate complex data, flexibility, and a proactive approach are essential. Applications from individuals seeking a challenging yet rewarding environment are encouraged.
Qualifications and Experience
You should have previous experience in an administrative role involving complex data and systems. Experience in compliance or audit, particularly related to education funding rules, is desirable. You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths or be willing to undertake this.

This role is crucial in ensuring the RNN Group provides effective contracting services under the direction of the Bids and Contracts Manager. It acts as a key link between the Contracts Team and other departments such as curriculum, finance, and quality, supporting the delivery of first-class business support services.
