Business Administrator | Administration, Financial Department | Full Time, Permanent Contract | Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 | £23,400 Annual Salary | Impington, Cambridge | Free Parking | Excellent Benefits |
Spire Cambridge Lea have an opportunity to bring on a Business Administrator to join their established team at their site located in Impington. The purpose of this role is to ensure administrative processes within the hospital are maintained effectively through strict compliance to Spire procedures and to undertake basic financial processes in accordance with procedures as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
* To review daily and monthly reports and action them according to specified work instructions
* To ensure all charging is actioned promptly and accurately in line with Spire procedure, identifying billing problems, placing billing alerts, suspending and clearing as required. To follow up on billing queries liaising with FSSC as required.
* To establish and maintain excellent working relation ship with the following parties:
o Consultants and their secretaries
o Heads of Departments
o Hospital Director
o Finance Support Service Centre (FSSC)
o Regional Finance Team (RFT)
o Payroll Manchester
* To ensure regular cashiering, banking and petty cash duties/reconciliation and posting entries to the account systems are completed according to work instructions.
* To ensure accurate input of payroll information assist with staff queries through effective liaison with Payroll Department and Heads of Departments.
* To prepare the month end returns as required for the following:
o Accruals/Recharges as identified by Head of Departments
o Banking transactions
o Petty Cash
* To co-ordinate the request for payment of invoices and consultant fees.
* To review overdue vendor debt and liase with the General Manager for arrangements for collection.
* Any other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
* Comes from an administration role with experience in dealing with administrative duties.
* GCSE level Mathematics and English or equivalent minimum.
* Must be IT literate with accurate keyboard skills and basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to act with tact and discretion as demanded by a given situation with the appropriate level of confidentiality.
* The ability to collate, analyse and disseminate information and take actions based on information, experience and judgement.
