Job Description
As an experienced Cost Engineering professional, you will work on a hospital construction programme. You will establish the required processes, templates and tools, agree the baseline for cost and schedule, monitor performance against it and incorporate the impacts of risk, opportunities and change in a controlled manner.
* Development of project cost control data structures to accurately track and control actual costs
* Establishing and setting the project control budget aligned with agreed baselines
* Tracking of actual costs for internal and external expenditure against the cost controls structures
* Tracking and control of project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints
* Building project forecast to include estimate to complete (ETC) and the development of estimate at completion (EAC)
* Accurate and timely reporting of all cost-related project information
* Working with the planning function to accurately apply Earned Value Management rules
* Tracking of project contingency and exposure associated with risk events and remaining risks on the project
* Tracking of project change control to ensure alignment with agreed baselines and control data structures
* Tracking key project trends and actioning as appropriate
Qualifications
Skills Required
* Proven experience in project controls coordination in all phases of the project lifecycle including program, risk and reporting for major programmes such as rail, highways etc.
* Experience across full project lifecycle including pre-investment decision, design development, execution and commissioning phases
* Experience working to cost engineering procedures and processes, able to define project cost procedures and standards
* Highly conversant with cost management systems such as Ecosys, including interface with corporate ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, understanding business rules and funding alignment
