Are you looking for your next role supporting young people with SEND?
At Protocol Education we believe every young person deserves the best chance in school, which is why we’re working with a welcoming secondary school in North Bristol that’s looking for a compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil who needs that extra bit of encouragement and structure.
Your day-to-day:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to help a pupil with additional learning needs thrive in a mainstream classroom.
* Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and pastoral team to create the best possible learning environment.
* Bring patience, calm, and consistency to every interaction – you’ll be the friendly face they look for when things feel tricky.
* Help with everyday tasks, social interaction, and keeping learning accessible and engaging.
About you:
* You’ve got experience supporting young people with SEND (Autism, ADHD, SEMH – any or all!).
* You’re naturally calm, positive, and not afraid to think on your feet.
* You know how to build trust and motivate a pupil who needs clear boundaries and lots of praise.
* Thrive trained? Even better! Not yet? No problem – we offer free Thrive training to boost your toolkit.
What you’ll get from Protocol Education:
* Weekly pay through PAYE (no hidden deductions).
* Free access to our online CPD Academy – keep growing while you support others.
* Personal support from your own friendly consultant.
* Roles in schools that value what you do – because you’re the glue that holds it together.
If you’re ready to be that steady, supportive person who makes school feel safe and possible for a young person, we’d love to hear from you.
