Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group. This site has a great culture and feel to retaining its team members, due to a recent promotion, they are looking for a maintenance engineer.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for all engineering services on site - maintenance, breakdowns of machinery, efficiency, reliability & improvements
Electrical & mechanical fault finding, repairs and PPM schedules
Working on production & packaging machinery, automation & controls, PLC's, site services
Dealing with motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, safety circuits
Assist in project work - new machine installations & upgrades
Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining work
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Multi-Skilled engineer - either mechanical or electrical biased
Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
Level 3 or higher qualified in engineering
Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & repair skills
Must have worked in manufacturing, FMCG, production industry
PLC - electrical fault finding
Beneficial to have mechanical fabrication, fitting & welding skills
Experience with motors, drives, circuits, gearboxes, conveyors, belts, chains
Able to read electrical & mechanical drawings
