Teaching Personnel are seeking a Science Teacher for a secondary school in Oldbury. The role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 students across all science disciplines, including biology, chemistry and physics. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons, support pupils in preparation for exams and help raise achievement across the department. Role Responsibilites: Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum Teach biology, chemistry and physics, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners Assess, record and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies Work collaboratively with the science department and wider school staff to enhance teaching and learning Support students in preparation for assessments and GCSE examinations Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions and wider school activities Role Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Specialism in science (biology, chemistry or physics) with strong subject knowledge across all areas Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students within a UK secondary school setting Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities, including SEND learners A passion for inspiring students and promoting scientific curiosity Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices (training can be provided) Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) How to apply: If this sounds like the role for you and you meet the requirements, please apply with your most up to date CV!
