Job description

About us

x

Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) provides high-quality and personalised support and care for over 300 individuals across Fife and Forth Valley. We support the individuals we work with to manage or overcome challenges, including age-related issues, alcohol and drug addictions, autism spectrum disorders, complex needs, homelessness, learning disabilities and mental health issues.

We work with people in their own homes, assisting them to do the things that matter to them and realise their ambitions. We believe that great support leads to great lives.

About you

We are looking for compassionate, kind and invested support workers who are passionate about helping people to live their best lives.

You do not need any experience or qualifications to become a support worker, and we encourage people from all sectors to apply, as full training is provided to help you undertake your role to a high standard. There are opportunities for career progression and further development.

If you are resilient, have a can-do approach and a great sense of humour, you will be off to a great start to be a great fit for this service. It is more important to us that you have the right values, characteristics, and share our vision of providing excellent support.

About the Role

x

In this role, you will be an integral member of the support team contributing to and ensuring a high quality of care and support for individuals with a wide range of support and care needs, including people with Learning Disability, age-related conditions and Mental Health issues. Promoting independence, building skills and confidence, ensuring people live their best lives.

The role is primarily centred around understanding and supporting the day-to-day living of the service users. Working within this service, the successful individual requires to have passion, drive and dedication in helping others to live fulfilling lives.

Job Description

x

The service is a core and cluster model, so whilst you support people in their own homes on a one-to-one basis, you will have colleagues close by to support you if required.

The people we support, like us all, can have days when they are not as happy and up for the fun things in life. These are the days when they probably need us and the great support we provide the most. Great support knows what to do at any given time, but we will always help you with this, so you know how to respond in any given situation.

Staff benefits

x

We offer an attractive salary and benefits package;

An Employee Assistance Programme, including a free counselling service

* Discounted Gym membership

* Access to the Vivup employee benefits platform

* PVG applications are paid by KSC.

* This post is subject to a PVG Disclosure check.

* You will be required to register with the SSSC

Interviews – Assesment Centre

x

Kingdom is committed to contributing towards the eradication of homelessness. As part of that, we particularly welcome applications from people who are currently registered homeless or have been in the last 12 months. We will guarantee shortlisting to any applicant who meets that criteria and the essential criteria for the vacancy. If we offer you the role and you are homeless at that point, we will also offer you a tenancy in one of our properties as part of the Naumann Initiative.
