Consultant in Addictions Psychiatry (Substance Use Services) – Clackmannanshire and Stirling area. Base: St Ninian’s Health Centre, Stirling. FULL TIME (10 programmed activities). Salary Scale - £111,430 - £148,064 per annum (pro rata for part time post holders).

Responsibilities
* Lead on projects aligned with addressing the public health crisis of drug and alcohol related deaths and contribute to national strategies for tackling these issues.
* Develop links with Higher Education Institutions to build the evidence base and support the emerging national strategies; the service will support SPA time for Consultants to lead on projects.
* Contribute to local teaching and training programmes; supervise and guide the development of roles for Advanced Nurse and Pharmacist Practitioners.
* Work to ensure access to high-quality addiction services, with inter-disciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care across the health and social care system.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and a licence to practise.
* Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent; applicants must be within 6 months of their CCT or, if applying under the Portfolio pathway, the name must be entered onto the GMC Specialist Register at the time of application.
* Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development; excellent communication, listening and organisational skills are essential.
