Location – AVS Lewes Address: Southdown Works, Laughton Rd, Ringmer, Lewes BN8 5PN Working Hours This is a full-time position with a 44.5-hour workweek, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, and alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00. Previous sales experience within a builders’ merchant, trade counter, or similar retail environment (essential) Accurately process customer orders and quotations for a wide range of building materials Respond actively to customer enquiries, offering informed advice and product recommendations Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues Identify sales opportunities and upsell relevant products to meet customer needs Maintain high standards of branch presentation, stock levels, and compliance Assist with follow-ups on leads, sales promotions, and branch marketing initiatives Support teamwork and continuous improvement within the branch Uphold all health and safety policies and ensure safe working practices Strong telephone, written, and face-to-face communication skills Consultative approach with a passion for providing excellent service Confidence in working with targets and drive to achieve branch ambitions Positive attitude, adaptability, and teamwork ethos Attention to detail and efficient organisation skills Keen to learn about new products and systems (full training will be provided) Comfortable using point-of-sale and order processing systems Why Join the AVS Lewes Team for Telesales and Counter Sales?
