Hours: Full-time, site-based
We are seeking an experienced Hygiene Area Coordinator to join our Hygiene team at our Redruth site. Reporting directly to our Hygiene Manager with a dotted line to out Technical Manager. This role is key to ensuring hygiene standards, food safety compliance, and operational performance across the site. You will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a hygiene team to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment. This is a leadership role, leading day shift by setting priorities, co-ordinate tasks and generally ensures production targets and other standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the hygiene day team.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards.
• To ensure all area paperwork and procedures are implemented and correctly used and that all other written communication is followed and acted upon
• Promote a positive work culture and staff engagement.
• Complete and review hygiene paperwork and compliance documentation.
• Plan work and resources flexibly in own area, allocate tasks daily, adjusting as necessary to meet scheduled cleaning and company targets
• Liaise with managers, other departments, and external auditors.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within the team.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For ?
• Experience in hygiene leadership in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene cleaning standards and legislative requirements.
• Experience in managing and leading a team.
• Confident in completing compliance paperwork and meeting audit standards.
• Well-organised, self-motivated, and willing to undertake personal development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
