The Role
We are inviting applications from creative and technically capable Landscape Architects to join our growing Nature-Based Infrastructure design team, specialising in SuDS. This is a unique opportunity to work at the interface between landscape architecture, water management, and climate resilience – designing multi-functional landscapes that manage rainfall naturally and enhance opportunities for biodiversity and placemaking.
The position can be based in Derry, Belfast, or remotely anywhere in UK / Ireland (depending on level of existing experience), with hybrid and flexible working available.
You will work alongside our Senior Landscape Architect and a team of hydrologists, engineers, and environmental scientists to deliver innovative rainscape, SuDS retrofit, and nature-based flood management projects.

Schedule: Monday to Friday / flexible by agreement
Duties and Responsibilities
* Designing and illustrating (urban) landscapes and SuDS features as part of multi-disciplinary project teams, from concept through detailed design.
* Supporting the development of SuDS retrofit and nature-based drainage solutions, ensuring best-practice implementation and integration with landscape design.
* Preparing concept and detailed design drawings, visualisations, planting plans, and design reports for planning and technical approval.
* Contributing to public realm, green infrastructure, and open space design with a focus on water management, biodiversity, and amenity value.
* Working with engineers and environmental specialists to ensure designs are technically robust and buildable.
* Supporting community engagement and design presentations.
* Assisting with tenders, fee proposals, and project documentation.
* For senior candidates: leading design workstreams, managing client communication, mentoring staff, and contributing to business development.
The Candidate
* Degree in Landscape Architecture or closely related discipline.
* Experience in landscape or public realm design, with a strong appreciation of natural processes, water, and ecology.
* Excellent AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite software is essential.
* Ability to prepare professional drawings and reports.
* Excellent graphic and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
* A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Experience with SuDS, blue–green infrastructure, or water-sensitive urban design.
* Interest in nature-based solutions, urban greening, or climate adaptation.
* Chartered or working towards CMLI (Landscape Institute) or equivalent.
* Experience in public realm retrofit or infrastructure landscape design.
