Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri with flexible start and finish times, & occasional evenings and weekend work.
Contract: Fixed Term until August 2027

Your next role:
As an Employability Project Officer, you will oversee the delivery of Employability projects at Bristol Bears Community Foundation, targeting 16 – 19 young people who are NEET, providing essential life skills and qualifications to support them to enter the world of work. You’ll build positive, trusting relationships with young people, helping them develop confidence, skills, and pathways into positive provision or employment.
Working closely with the Education and Skills Manager, you’ll:
- Plan and deliver high quality Education based tutorials and workshop, targeting 16 – 19 NEET
- Develop tailored schemes of work to meet the needs of young people
- Maintain strong partnerships with the council, employers, and community partners
- Support data collection and reporting to demonstrate impact and sustainability
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are met at all times
This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about youth work, changing inequality within local communities.
What you’ll bring to our team
We value individuality and welcome diverse perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience in working with targeted groups or individuals in areas of deprivation
- Hold a qualification linked to Youth Work or willing to work towards.
- Level 2 Coaching Multi-Skill Development in Sport (or working towards)
- England Rugby Coaching Award (or willingness to work towards)
- Understanding of challenges faced by young people in deprived areas
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
- Access to own vehicle and a full UK driving licence
