Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients
* Monitor food quality and portion control to ensure consistency and adherence to standards
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods
* Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards at all times
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients when possible
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and best practices
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 26 per week
