Events & Enterprise Marketing Coordinator
Location: Hybrid – Southampton (University Road, Highfield Campus)
Contract: Part-time, 40 weeks per year, 30 hours per week
Overview
Our client, a leading students’ union representing a large and diverse student community, is seeking an Events & Enterprise Marketing Coordinator to join their dynamic Events team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine creativity and organisation by coordinating engaging student events and marketing campaigns that enhance student life.
The role involves leading small-scale campus events, supporting large-scale productions such as Freshers’ Week and the Graduation Ball, and delivering creative marketing activity across enterprise initiatives. Ideal for someone with marketing and events experience, this position offers a varied, fast-paced, and rewarding environment at the heart of student engagement.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and deliver small-scale student events such as Crafternoons and Break the Ice.
* Support the production and delivery of large-scale events including Freshers’ Week, Grad Ball, and other major Union-led activities.
* Create engaging written and visual content across a range of marketing channels.
* Design and produce marketing assets and materials that align with brand guidelines.
* Coordinate marketing and promotional campaigns for enterprise activities.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and student groups to ensure smooth event and campaign delivery.
* Monitor event performance and engagement, providing feedback to enhance future activities.
* Support wider communications, digital, and creative projects during peak periods.
Requirements
* Experience in marketing, communications, or events coordination.
* Strong content creation skills (written, visual, and digital).
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Confident communicator able to build effective working relationships across teams.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
* A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach to work.
* Knowledge of higher education or student engagement environments.
* Experience using design or content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
* Understanding of event promotion, social media marketing, and audience engagement strategies.

Working Pattern
* 30 hours per week across 40 weeks per year.
* Flexibility required during peak periods (e.g. Freshers’ Week, Grad Ball).
