Cafe Assistant Manager - Part time (3-4 Days a Week)
We’re looking for a friendly, experienced individual to help lead our on-site café. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, welcoming team in a beautiful countryside setting.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
* Has 3+ years’ experience within a café or commercial kitchen environment
* Has completed their Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate & Allergy Awareness Course
* Can produce good-quality breakfasts & lunches that are visually appealing
* Understands and complies with all Food Hygiene legislation
* Has experience with stock control and food costing
* Keeps the kitchen, prep areas and stores clean and tidy
* Can work independently and manage a small part‑time team when needed
* Has experience dealing with customers, using a till, handling payments and cashing up
* Is enthusiastic, hardworking, and looking for a new challenge
* Must be able to drive due to rural location
Ideal Candidate
Whilst most days will see individuals and small groups visiting, we also host regular events with 120+ guests, so you’ll be comfortable working under pressure and leading a small team when required. We’re looking for someone to support and work alongside the Café manager, providing continuity during their absence and to develop a collaborative working relationship.
The café operates between 8:00am and 5:00pm (seasonal variations apply), with hours covered by a shift pattern shared across the team.
