An opportunity has arisen for a permanent part-time Fire Safety Adviser position. The successful candidate will undertake Fire Safety Adviser duties as specified in the Fire Safety Adviser Job Description.
You should hold a Fire Safety Science or Fire Engineering-based education to HNC/HND level with supporting experience in applying fire safety in a workplace setting.
Alternatively, you may have completed fire safety modules at the Fire Service College and have subsequent enforcement officer experience.
Another qualification could be a Fire Engineering degree with practical experience of fire safety application in the workplace.
Other fire safety professional qualifications, e.g., Confederation of Fire Protection Associations Europe Diploma (CFPA Dip), are also acceptable.
You should have a thorough knowledge of fire risk assessment principles and best practices, along with practical experience in undertaking fire risk assessments. Membership of a credible fire safety organization is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and sound computing skills are essential.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
