Job Purpose:
As Bid Manager, you will primarily work as part of a tendering team that focuses on strategic and complex High Voltage Major Projects spanning the non-regulated Power Sector. The work will primarily focus on tenders of a complex nature and you will operate as part of a high performing technical team situated in Wakefield, Yorkshire.
The role will primarily sit within the Business Development Tendering Team and you will report to the Sales Director responsible for Major Projects.
You will work closely with the centralised core function of the business development team Head of Strategic Bids, Business Development Director and other stakeholders across Ipsum that will provide operating standards and governance reach-back.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to growth plans and future successes by creating compelling tender submissions for opportunities with strategic customers and thus supporting the targeted sales growth year on year.
Working closely with the major projects operations team and other related senior management teams, you will also develop a tendering strategy based around existing key customer account plans and sales activity plans to ensure capability and capacity needs are addressed in what can be described as a very busy department.
