The role
As a Vehicle Electronics Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of advancing military technology and modernising defence systems. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge electronic systems for Commercial, Defence, and Military Vehicles making a real impact on national security and innovation.
Day-to-day, you’ll take ownership of designing and integrating advanced electronic systems into military and commercial vehicles, bringing innovation to life and ensuring mission-critical performance.
1. Designing and developing electronic systems for a range of vehicles
2. Integrating components and systems into vehicle platforms
3. Preparing detailed technical documentation and specifications
4. Ensuring compliance with industry and military standards
5. Collaborating with Stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Vehicle Electronics Engineer
6. Strong understanding of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
7. Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems
8. Knowledge of V, 24V, and 12V system design and integration
9. Familiarity with CAN Bus, Ethernet, and other vehicle communication protocols
10. Understanding of Military Standards (preferred)
Qualifications for the Vehicle Electronics Engineer
11. Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering discipline
12. Ideally working towards professional membership with a recognised engineering institution
