Job description:
We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team in providing guidance and support to children in the Nottingham area. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in settings such as Teaching Assistant, Youth Work, Family Support Work, Behaviour Mentor, or Children’s Residential Support Work.
We focus on long-term and permanent employment, meaning you return to the SAME school daily, ensuring consistency for both staff and students. This often leads to transferring onto the school's contract. We work with Specialist Provisions across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire, primarily offering permanent positions and specializing in long-term recruitment support.
Working across various school settings allows us to find opportunities that match your skills and experience. We will discuss this further during your initial phone call to see how we can best support your career.
Our roles typically commence ASAP or to suit your availability.
Responsibilities:
* Provide mentoring and support to students.
* Adapt learning materials to suit each student's learning style.
* Foster a positive learning environment through interactive activities.
* Assist with behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions, including de-escalating and re-directing behaviours.
* Monitor and track children's developmental progress.
Benefits of working with Progress Teachers:
* Star Reviewed Agency: Over 125 positive reviews on Google.
* Long-term and Permanent Focus: Offering consistency and reliability.
* Support & Guidance: Ongoing support throughout the recruitment process, including CV writing, interview/trial preparation, and professional development.
* Competitive Salary: Pay to Scale from day one through PAYE (minimum rate of £13.04/hr).
* Work-Life Balance: 13 weeks holiday annually and working hours from 8:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday.
* £100 Referral Bonus: Available even if you're not currently working through us.
Please note that the salary range varies depending on the school setting, hours, and responsibilities. For the higher pay rate, at least 2 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant is required.
