Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Our client, a leading manufacturer supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland, is recruiting a Maintenance Fitter. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday days, offering a great opportunity for those looking to avoid shift work. Overtime hours are paid at a premium rate for over 40 hours worked.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
* Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
2. Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime
3. Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root causes
4. Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance
6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software
7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business
Desired Skills and Qualifications
* Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production setting
* Strong mechanical skills, including welding and fitting
* Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors
* Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings
