Business Development Manager - Valves & Controls
We are representing a leading Australian-owned valve and controls solutions partner, established in the mid-1990s, with branches across WA and QLD. With a reputation for quality, technical expertise, and rapid turnaround, they supply into mining, oil & gas, chemical processing, water/wastewater, infrastructure, marine, and defence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Business Development Manager to take ownership of the Perth/WA market and deliver results with one of the industry's most trusted valve and control suppliers.
The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will:
* Drive new business through a proactive "hunter" approach - networking, cold calling, and leveraging market intelligence.
* Manage key accounts and develop supply agreements, project sales, and transactional opportunities withEPCs, end users, and consultancies.
* Promote and sell a broad catalogue of valve and control solutions, including control valves, filters, fittings, mechanical equipment, and accessories.
* Manage RFQs, tenders, proposals, and supply contracts from initiation through delivery.
* Liaise with technical, engineering, and consultant teams to provide product expertise and tailored solutions.
* Track orders and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the supply process.
* Stay across industry trends and strategically plan market penetration.
* Provide occasional cover for the internal Perth-based sales team.

About You
* Proven track record in business development or technical sales within valves, controls, actuation, or a related industrial/mechanical field.
* Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and confidently discuss technical valve applications.
* Comfortable with site visits, audits, and supporting shutdown/project environments.
* Skilled communicator who can build relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders alike.
* Motivated, resilient, and driven to succeed in a competitive industrial market.
