About the Role
A leading importer and distributor of packaging machinery and packaging materials is seeking an ambitious Field Sales Representative to drive growth across Northern Ireland.
Reporting to senior management, this role focuses on developing existing customer relationships while generating new business opportunities within established and growth markets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Management
* Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing customers.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within target markets.
* Self‑generate sales leads and convert opportunities into revenue.
* Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities across the product portfolio.
* Maintain and grow existing accounts while extending the overall customer base.
Sales Performance
* Work towards and exceed agreed KPIs and sales targets.
* Demonstrate a consistent track record of achieving or surpassing targets.
* Negotiate effectively to secure commercially viable agreements.
Customer Engagement & Service
* Approach prospective customers professionally, building rapport and identifying needs through active listening.
* Provide excellent post‑sale support, ensuring smooth order fulfilment and high customer satisfaction.
* Offer trustworthy feedback and consistent after‑sales support.
* Act as a strong brand representative within the market.
Sales Administration
* Maintain accurate records using CRM/Salesforce systems.
* Ensure all leads, enquiries, and quotations are followed up effectively.
* Maintain strong sales administration and pipeline management discipline.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3 years sales experience within packaging or a related industrial sector.
* Proven ability to close sales and achieve targets.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Effective planning and organisational ability.
* Self‑motivated with the ability to generate new opportunities independently.
* Full driving licence.
