Are you interested in a career in Social Work?
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Social Work Assistant in Cardiff Children’s Services Intervention Hub in partnership with Goleudy, a psychology-led service which is joint funded by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The Goleudy team supports young people, their families, and wider support systems, who are experiencing high levels of distress. The team's name is derived from the Welsh word for lighthouse and aims to symbolise a ‘beacon of hope’ in the difficult moments for our young people and their families.
Goleudy has been developed around core values of providing trauma-informed care, being formulation driven, and attachment focused. The team is comprised of professionals from Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Education and Social Work. Difference is celebrated within the team through the promotion of a culture of learning together. In accordance with trauma informed principles the team receives regular supervision, mentoring, reflective practice, formulation conversations and away days.
In this role, you will support children who are working with statutory Cardiff Children’s Services who need help with their emotional well-being and mental health needs. Building, maintaining and growing relationships is key to the team. Emphasis will be placed on working alongside and in partnership with our colleagues in the Emotional Well-Being and Mental Health Service....
