Responsibilities: We will ask you to define the target-state architecture for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and ensure operational technology and information technology work seamlessly together. We expect you to shape how digital technology transforms our gas distribution network. We will rely on you to lead architectural thinking across edge computing, IIoT platforms, cloud integration, and data architecture. We need you to help define capability models, reference architectures, and roadmaps that guide delivery across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons. We will ask you to advise senior stakeholders on priorities and investments across our enterprise-wide IIoT and OT/IT convergence strategy. We expect you to embed cyber resilience and regulatory compliance into IIoT design, supporting Critical National Infrastructure requirements. We need you to influence our Industry 4.0 and OT digitalisation journey by evaluating emerging technologies and setting future direction. We will ask you to work closely with enterprise, domain, and solution architects. We expect you to mentor teams and help build architectural capability across our organisation. We need you to support our Securing Operations transformation programme and align technology investment with operational priorities, net zero ambitions, regulatory obligations, and long-term sustainability goals. We will ask you to shape how data is generated, secured, integrated, and exploited across the organisation.
