Job Title: Private Client Typist Location: Towcester Salary: Competitive (DOE) Type: Permanent, Full-Time We are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Towcester who are looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Typist to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a key role within the Private Client department, supporting fee earners with high-quality audio typing and administrative support. It would suit someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced legal environment and takes pride in accuracy and organisation. Key Responsibilities: Audio typing and word processing of legal documents Preparing correspondence, including letters, reports and emails Formatting documents to a high standard Managing and maintaining client files, including filing, archiving and retrieval Preparing documentation and enclosures for dispatch Supporting general administrative and clerical duties such as scanning and copying Providing support to other secretaries as required Handling incoming calls professionally and directing or taking detailed messagesThe Ideal Candidate: Previous experience as a Legal Typist, ideally within Private Client Strong audio typing skills with high accuracy Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team Flexible approach, including providing cover for colleagues and occasional reception supportBenefits & Package: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch between 12:00pm – 2:00pm) 23 days’ paid holiday plus Bank Holidays, with an additional 5 days unpaid leave available 3 days of annual leave to be reserved for the Christmas period Holiday year runs January to December 3-month probation period with 1 week’s notice during probation, increasing to 1 month thereafter Life insurance and Health Shield cash plan upon successful completion of probation Pension scheme with 4% employer contribution (Royal London or equivalent)
