We are seeking a dedicated Biomedical Scientist with expertise in digital pathology systems and their integration to join the Division of Neuropathology. This role involves supporting the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of digital pathology platforms, facilitating a transition from traditional histopathology workflows to advanced digital imaging.
The successful candidate will collaborate with laboratory, clinical, and technical teams to ensure the delivery of effective, safe, and compliant digital pathology services aligned with clinical and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the setup and upkeep of digital pathology systems (e.g., slide scanners, troubleshooting, digital file management).
2. Acting as a liaison between pathology labs, IT services, vendors, and clinical staff.
3. Facilitating system integration with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), PACS, Electronic Patient Records (EPR), and Tissue Tracking Systems.
4. Providing user training, troubleshooting, writing SOPs, and supporting daily operations of digital pathology services.
5. Participating in quality assurance activities and maintaining comprehensive documentation for service continuity.
