Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in overseeing all financial aspects of project delivery, including:
Managing project costs from initial estimates through to final accounts
Working closely with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
Preparing and evaluating tenders, contracts and variations
Providing cost advice and value engineering options
Maintaining accurate financial reporting throughout the build lifecycle
Supporting smooth and professional client interactions
Quantity Surveyor Requirements The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in high-end or high-spec residential construction
Strong skills in Quantity Surveying, cost management and budgeting
Knowledge of modern construction methods and building regulations
Experience in project management and contract administration
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Proficiency with construction/estimating software
A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field
