We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it. The Electrical Technician role is a key part of the Asset Management Team based at the ultra-modern 150 megawatt (MW) Brigg Energy Park. With a combined capacity of 150MW, Bring Energy Park now provides the electricity network with resilience, facilitating the continued expansion of clean, green renewable energy the UK needs, and is capable of powering around 100,000 homes during periods of peak demand, such as mornings and early evenings. The Electrical Technician will play a key role in ensuring continued safe and reliable operation of the asset and will report to the Maintenance Manager. Key accountabilities: Ensure enactment and compliance with Electrical Engineering Strategy & Standards Act as site Responsible Electrical Person (REP) within companies permit to work system Ensure maintenance strategy and standards within discipline are enacted within all of the operated assets Provide technical discipline input into operational risk management Develop concept and front end definition of technical project scopes Support & participate in HS&E improvement initiatives to manage people, legislative & environmental risk Participate in root cause analysis to resolve Safety & Reliability issues Support the terminal operations and maintenance teams by participating in Management of Change reviews Co-ordinate and lead discipline asset maintenance and inspections to evaluate and determine the identified discipline work scopes both planned and emerging Develop the associated work plans to an appropriate and correct level of detail understanding the technical detail to ensure the work plan resources are populated within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maximise work planning and execution efficiency Work with the SAP CMMS system on a daily basis for review and quality checks of all planned and newly raised notification Work Orders, to ensure prompt identification of all planning requirements are captured for review. To liaise with procurement, logistics, and suppliers to ensure that material requirements are clearly defined and expedited to asset standards Organise and agree work with contractors and external service providers as necessary to ensure all work packages are fully scoped and understood contractually ahead of asset mobilisation dates Will be a major stakeholder with regard to developing and providing plan data to the required level of detail to support the work planning & execution process. Record and schedule any required isolation and outage requests to allow work to be completed within the agreed scheduled time frame Maintain CMMS data with regards to job re-evaluation for both Planned and Corrective Maintenance. This will include consultation with both operations and maintenance identifying and recording changes to any of the job requirements for example, time, access requirements, lifting requirements, material requirements, isolation changes etc Be a member of a rota to provide 24 hour support Participate in root cause analysis to resolve Safety & Reliability issues Actively demonstrates and promotes to team and others companies culture of care, lifesaving, office and house rules. The Person: Must hold a current COMPEX certificate (TECH-300-EEHA-01, Ex01 through to Ex04) HV experience Electricity at Work Regulations (TECH-300-EAWR-01) 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring regulations (TECH-300-IEE-01) Practical experience in using, updating and planning with maintenance management systems Experience of working on electrical installations within petrochemical or similar industries Be qualified to Higher National Certificate level in electrical engineering discipline or equivalent Practical understanding of ATEX and DSEAR Good interpersonal and analytic skills and the ability to influence and communicate at all levels Ability to problem solve using a variety of techniques to identify root causes and potential solutions.
